About Artly Architectural

What we do and who we work with:

Artly Architectural is a public arts practice specialising in large-scale artworks and functional infrastructure design features that bring built environments and outdoor spaces to life.  We work with land developers, property developers, property managers and councils to create original works and infrastructure that inspire passionate connection.

How we do it:

We combine psychology and aesthetics to create artworks and functional infrastructure design features which activate deep psychological resonance in people. Research shows that this influences our decisions to visit, see, stay, work, shop, learn and relax in a place.

Shaped by meaningful collaborations with our clients and community consultation, we consider diverse elements such as a project site’s natural environment, the history and culture of the area, the social demographics, the street-scape context of each project and the socio-economic needs and aspirations of a community.

Why we do it:

We understand just how important, powerful and engaging a well-developed creative vision can be if delivered to its full potential. We believe that:

  • Art can tell us who we once were, who we are now, and who we aspire to be.

  • Art can change an unused public space into a thriving hub of connection.

  • Art can change a residential development from ‘vanilla’ to a ‘must have’ location.

  • Art can change a commercial development from ‘boring’ to ‘booming’.

  • Art can transform an under-recognised region into a spectacular location destination.

  • Art can deepen a landscape’s restorative impact.

  • Art can make a house an incredible home.

  • Art can commemorate, educate, reconcile and heal you.

  • Art can immortalise you.

Great art moves people.

It turns bricks, steel and concrete into spaces people want to live, work, shop, learn, and relax.

Art brings life to places and brings places to life.

Traditional Owners

Central to all our dealings with place and space, is a recognition of traditional owners. We respectfully acknowledge the traditional owners, the Jaara people of the Dja Dja Wurrung on whose unceded lands we operate, recognising continuing connection to culture and Country. We pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging, and to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander elders and people our content reaches.
